The first geothermal installation is completed in Slovenia.

The first Carbon Capture installation downstream of a biomass boiler in Canada.

The establishment of Verkade Climate Technologies B.V. marks the beginning of the company’s first major horticultural export projects.
1992
Ronald, Martin’s son, officially joins the family business. He initially focuses on expanding the Utility division, and later shifts his attention to exporting horticultural installations.
1965
Martin, son of Tinus Verkade, joins the company and begins construction of a new business premises on Kerkstraat in Kwintsheul. He also establishes the Utility division, focusing on offices and industrial projects. At the time, homes were not yet heated, but with the rise of the central heating boiler, Verkade quickly begins to grow.
1933
M.M. (Tinus) Verkade founded the sole proprietorship M.M. Verkade Central Heating, based at the Gemaal on the Zweth. The work focused on horticulture, with energy sources evolving over time from coal to oil, and eventually to natural gas.
